NASA almost unbelievable lack of interest since photo of Cydonia Face was taken by the Mars orbiting Viking craft in 1976, have raised suspicions of a cover-up. Mars Observer, scheduled to rephotograph Cydonia in 1993 in response to growing pressure, failed to do so, the orbiter was 'lost' by mission control at the crucial moment.
NASA's constitution authorizes it to co-operate with agencies directly concerned with national defense and specifically obliges if something has been found with the potential to upset established social values and religious beliefsit to withhold from the public information classified to protect national security.
Phobos ("fear" in ancient Greek) is the largest moon of Mars and is closer to the planet than second moon Deimos. Phobos is a artificial object in Mars orbit, a 1.5-mile-long, extremely ancient spacestation/satelite and have circular/equatorial orbit .
The last transmission from Russian satellite Phobos 2 was a photograph of a gigantic cylindrical spaceship - a huge, approx, 20km long, 1.5km diameter cigar-shaped 'mother ship', that was photographed on 25 March 1989. After that last frame was radio-transmitted back to Earth, the probe mysteriously disappeared.
